Lyrics

Climbed our way to the middle of the vortex
on the day I was born.
Stared off into a thousand sunsets.
Spoke of good times, and moving on.

Stood frozen at the edge of the monolith.
Embraced as the light grew dim.
Become one with the blood red sky,
and one with the blood red stone.
If you can be like water,
you might find your way home.

The white clouds raced across the blue desert sky
out of fear that they might miss the setting of the sun.
One last chance for illumination.
One last dance before night has come
to pull back the big blue curtain,
introduce the truthful stars.
Allowing them to tell us where we fit into it all.
We are barely aware specs of cosmic dust.
So distant, so small.

Well it started with a cut, growing deeper over eons>
Carving channels worn smooth, till they're part of the chasm.
One of many reaching down the steep walls of the canyon.
Millions more all headed fast towards the same destination.
And soon it will all become part of the void.
We are all destined for the same location.
Someday we will all become part of the void.

For our sacrifice, we were rewarded with sight.
Reaching far across the open air, watching shadow chasing light.
Take the time to care, and remain aware
someday we will all become part of the void.
We are barely aware specs of cosmic dust.
So distant, so small.
