As a life long native of the Ozarks in S. W. MO, I've witnessed ice storms become more frequent, and extreme over the years. I have huddled in coldest and darkest of conditions for weeks at a time. Along with millions of other people rendered equally helpless. Night fall resembled a combat zone. With random deafening explosions of green light created by the failure of transformers on telephone poles all around the city. The constant cracking of trees, splintering beneath the weight of a two inch thick layer of f ice. This is Modern Ice.
